UET Mardan Commemorates ‘Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir’ with Solidarity Walk

Mardan: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan hosted a ‘Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir’ event under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor, aimed at showing solidarity with the people of Kashmir and protesting actions by the Indian government. The university community, including key faculty members and students, participated in a solidarity walk to highlight the plight of Kashmiris.

According to University of Engineering and Technology – Mardan, the event was organized by the Director of Clubs and Societies and saw participation from various university dignitaries including the Registrar, Prof. Dr. Ibrar Ali Shah, and the Chairman of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Muhammad Usman. The gathering featured a minute of silence and prayers for the victims of the conflict in Kashmir, underscoring the need for global awareness and intervention.

The event not only served as a platform for expressing support for Kashmir but also as a reminder of the significant political changes instigated on August 5, 2019, by the revocation of Article 370 by the Government of India, which had previously granted special autonomy to the region.
