Islamia University of Bahawalpur Announces Major Fee Reductions Across Educational Programs

Bahawalpur: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Naveed Akhtar, has implemented significant fee reductions for a wide range of its educational programs. This initiative, aimed at making higher education more accessible, benefits students from various backgrounds, including those from the Bahawalpur division, madrasa graduates, and new applicants to recently established departments.

According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, the fees and dues committee has approved a 35% reduction in first semester fees for local students in 64 Bachelor of Science (BS) programs and a 25% reduction for students on open merit. Additionally, students from madrasas receive a 25% fee cut in 6 programs, aligning with the university’s inclusive education policy. Furthermore, a uniform fee of Rs. 25,000 per semester has been set for new departments to encourage enrollment.

The university has also extended financial benefits to its alumni, offering a 25% discount on the first semester fees for MS and MPhil programs for former students of Islamia University’s campuses. Graduates from affiliated colleges are eligible for a 10% discount for MPhil admissions. The fee structure for Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programs across its Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan campuses has been standardized at Rs 25,000 per semester, making advanced education programs more financially feasible for a broader student base.

This fee reduction strategy covers diverse fields such as engineering technologies, social sciences, and arts, highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering educational advancement across various disciplines.
