UET Lahore Workshop Aims to Enhance Administrative Skills

Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore recently concluded a two-day experiential workshop designed to enhance the skills of its administrative staff. The workshop, titled “From Friction to Facilitation: Rethinking the Role of Administration at UET,” was organized by the Faculty and Staff Development Program (FSDP) in collaboration with the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC). It took place on August 7th and 8th, 2025, at Masood Hall in the Electrical Engineering Department.

The workshop targeted administrative, clerical, and lab staff in Grades 10-16, focusing on improving service orientation, professional behavior, and communication skills. It also aimed to strengthen the partnership between faculty, administration, and students.

The initiative reflects the leadership of Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat, Pro Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore. Both have been strong proponents of the professional development of the university’s academic and administrative staff, aiming to meet global academic standards.

Prof. Dr. Aneela Anwar, Director of FSDP, and Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz, Director of QEC, were credited for leading the program. The workshop featured sessions by Mr. Omayer Arshad, whose interactive approach kept participants engaged.

The workshop was praised for its energy and the active involvement of participants, who viewed it as a step toward fostering a more collaborative environment at UET.
