UET Lahore to Host Independence Day Celebration Ceremony

Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has announced plans for its Independence Day celebrations in 2025. The event, titled “Hum Watan Dost,” aims to honor the country’s freedom struggle and envision its future.

The ceremony is set to take place on August 14 at the UET Main Campus. It will be supervised by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, who has been awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.

Festivities will commence with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Main Block. The Vice Chancellor will lead the event, which will see participation from students, faculty, and staff, all expressing national enthusiasm.

The program will feature speeches, national songs, and tableaus to highlight the significance of independence. In his address, the Vice Chancellor is expected to focus on the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the importance of diligence for national progress.

Attendance from all faculty, staff, and students is encouraged, and participants are urged to arrive on time to commemorate this significant occasion.
