LAHORE: The Vice Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, took part in a pivotal meeting aimed at discussing the upgrade of engineering laboratory facilities at key institutions in Pakistan. The gathering included notable figures such as Dr. Najeebullah Marwat from the Planning Commission of Pakistan and Chairman of the Higher Education Commission, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, as well as vice chancellors from five prominent engineering universities.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the central objective of the meeting was to deliberate over the PC-I, a planning document, for the allocation of laboratory equipment to these institutions. The discussion underscored the need to fortify laboratory infrastructure, thereby enhancing research and academic capabilities at leading engineering universities nationwide.
