UET Lahore to Host Workshop on Green, Affordable, and Resilient Housing

Lahore, The University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, is set to hold a one-day workshop titled “GHAR: (Green Housing, Affordable, Resilient) Challenges and Opportunities” on December 5, 2023. This workshop is designed as a capacity-building program for architects, urban planners, and engineers, focusing on sustainable housing, resilience against disasters, and green initiatives for energy conservation and carbon reduction.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the workshop aims to deepen understanding of Pakistan’s housing challenges and explore how professionals can contribute to housing designs that are adaptive to climate change. Topics to be covered include green technology in housing, resilient housing, and affordable housing strategies. The workshop carries a registration fee of Rs 500 per professional participant, while faculty and final year students from relevant departments of UET Lahore can join free of cost. Attendees will receive certificates, and the event includes HI-Tea and lunch. Professionals are required to upload payment proof, and UET students must show their student cards for registration.
