UET Lahore Leads the Way with €800,000 Erasmus+ Grant for Innovation

Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has successfully secured an €800,000 grant from the European Union's Erasmus+ Programme for the BRIDGE Project. This achievement, a first for Pakistan under the CBHE Call 2024, highlights UET Lahore's pivotal role in advancing the nation's higher education sector.

The BRIDGE Project, which stands for Building Resources for Innovation, Digital Growth and Empowerment, was formally launched at an inaugural ceremony. The event was attended by Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council Engineer Waseem Nazir, and representatives from partner institutions both national and international.

The project, spearheaded by UET Lahore's Department of Mechatronics and Control Engineering, involves collaboration with six Pakistani and two European universities. This collaboration underscores UET Lahore's leadership in financial management and technical expertise.

Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, TI, participated in the closing ceremony, emphasizing the university's dedication to fostering international partnerships, promoting digital innovation, and upholding academic excellence.
