IIUI Focuses on Enhancing Odoo-Based Campus Management System

Islamabad: The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) convened a meeting to evaluate the optimization of its Odoo-based Campus Management System (CMS), emphasizing the need for timely completion and effective implementation of system enhancements.

The meeting, chaired by IIUI President Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, was the first of the Special Monitoring and Supervisory Committee for CMS Optimization and Support Services. It aimed at reviewing the CMS’s progress and its contribution to integrated academic and administrative procedures.

During the session, the Director of IT presented a comprehensive overview of the CMS, highlighting its current status, functional reach, and operational hurdles. The president emphasized addressing existing issues within the system, particularly in the areas of the Student Life Cycle and ERP modules, while adhering to the approved project scope.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President (Research and Enterprise), stressed the importance of identifying and prioritizing change requirements to facilitate process transformation. He advocated for task-based performance schedules to ensure the CMS’s reliability and user acceptance.

The committee members agreed to prioritize optimization tasks and maintain a structured workflow for effective system improvements. The meeting concluded with a commitment to regular reviews and clearly defined timelines to sustain system performance.
