UET Lahore Launches Textile Sustainability Competition for 2025

Faisalabad: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Faisalabad Campus, has launched the All Pakistan Textile Sustainability Competition 2025, aimed at fostering eco-friendly practices within the country’s textile industry. The event was formally inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (TI).

The competition seeks to encourage students from various universities across Pakistan to develop innovative solutions addressing the challenges of sustainability in the textile sector. Participants showcased their research projects, sustainable textile innovations, and environmentally friendly product ideas.

During his address, the Vice Chancellor commended the efforts of the event organizers and underscored the significance of sustainability in the textile industry. He emphasized that the future of global markets relies on the adoption of green technologies, resource efficiency, and innovative processes in textile production.
