UET Lahore Conducts Successful Joint Mock Emergency Exercise

Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore conducted a joint Mock Emergency Exercise with the involvement of students, faculty, and administrative staff. The exercise aimed to assess the preparedness and response capabilities of institutions in managing security threats and emergencies.

Teams from Punjab Police, the Bomb Disposal Squad, Rescue 1122, and other agencies participated in the exercise. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir reviewed the arrangements and observed the exercise.

Dr. Munir highlighted the importance of practical training alongside education, emphasizing the university’s role in equipping students to handle emergencies. He noted that these exercises enhance institutional preparedness and inter-agency coordination.

Officials from Punjab Police and other agencies praised UET’s initiative, citing improved communication and operational readiness as key benefits of the exercise.
