Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore held a farewell ceremony today to honor the retirement of E.T. Imran Babar, its long-serving Treasurer. The event, attended by university officials and industry leaders, celebrated Babar’s contributions to the institution.
At the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir, alongside Registrar Muhammad Asif and Public Relations Officer Dr. Tanveer Qasim, acknowledged Babar’s dedication to UET. The attendees paid tribute to his commitment and integrity, highlighting his role in the university’s development.
Vice Chancellor Munir praised Babar’s professional conduct, calling it an exemplary guide for future officers. He noted that Babar’s tenure had been a significant chapter in UET’s progress.
Imran Babar, in his farewell speech, reminisced about his time at the university. He expressed gratitude for the experiences and conveyed his hopes for the institution’s continued growth and the nation’s prosperity.
The ceremony concluded with Vice Chancellor Munir presenting Babar with the Inquiry Shield as a token of appreciation for his service.
