UET Lahore and Rural Community Development Society Forge Partnership for Climate and Educational Initiatives

Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has formalized a collaborative partnership with the Rural Community Development Society (RCDS) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing initiatives in environmental education and community development.

The agreement, signed by Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir and RCDS Managing Director Mr. Qaiser Iqbal, seeks to promote cooperation in student internships, climate change awareness, and academic events such as seminars and workshops.

Furthermore, the MoU outlines support for student-led social responsibility projects and scholarships for deserving students. Research at various academic levels, including BS, MPhil, and PhD, will also receive backing under this partnership.

The collaboration will focus on Environmental Engineering and Environmental Sciences, with an emphasis on publishing research that aligns with RCDS’s mission. Social media campaigns are also part of the initiatives set to raise awareness on climate issues.

This partnership marks a strategic effort to combine academic expertise and community development to address environmental challenges and foster educational opportunities.
