UET Lahore and PCMA Unite to Boost Research and Innovation

Lahore: In a significant move to strengthen ties between academia and industry, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and the Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association (PCMA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, signed on July 16, 2025, aims to foster collaboration in research, innovation, and youth development.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice-Chancellor of UET Lahore, and Mr. Haroon Ali Khan, Chairman of PCMA. The agreement seeks to establish a strategic alliance that will enhance learning, development, and entrepreneurship.

Both parties are set to explore various avenues, including corporate training and cooperative educational programs, to provide career opportunities for young professionals. The collaboration aims to develop and maintain a strong rapport between the two institutions.

Additionally, the MoU is expected to offer branding opportunities, benefiting both UET Lahore and PCMA. The partnership is seen as a step towards creating a seamless linkage between industry and academia, promoting innovation and growth in related fields.
