Islamabad: A delegation from the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) visited the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) to explore its digital education infrastructure. The visit focused on understanding AIOU’s course development, delivery mechanisms, and examination management within its distance learning framework.
Led by Dr. Muhammad Munir Kayani, Director of Distance Learning and Chairperson of the Department of Teacher Education at IIUI, the delegation aimed to gather insights into the operational practices of AIOU’s digital systems. The visit was part of an effort to enhance digital learning strategies at IIUI.
Upon their arrival, the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Zahid Majeed, Director Academic Planning, and Mr. Arshad Manzoor, Additional Director IT at AIOU. The hosts presented detailed briefings about the university’s digital platforms and integrated systems, which facilitate its extensive distance learning model across the nation.
Dr. Zahid Majeed highlighted AIOU’s strategic digital transformation approach, focusing on accessibility and quality assurance. Mr. Arshad Manzoor elaborated on the technological innovations and system integration that support academic delivery at the university.
