Lahore: From January 31 to February 2, 2026, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) became the focal point for intellectual engagement, hosting its 33rd All Pakistan Debating Competition. This event brought together leading institutions from across the country for three days of competitive debating and declamation.
According to University of Engineering and Technology, the competition featured participants from renowned institutions such as FCCU, GCU, PU, UOL, and KEMU. The event included multiple rounds of Parliamentary Debates and Declamation Speeches, demonstrating the participants' debating skills. The event concluded with the recognition of winners in various categories. In the Parliamentary Debates, Roots IVY won the English Novice Category, while KEMU secured the English Open and Urdu Open categories. PU emerged victorious in the Urdu Novice Category. In the Declamation Competition, Aimen Fatima from GCU Lahore was named the Overall Best Speaker, and GCU Lahore won the Team Trophy.
The competition ended with a formal Award Ceremony acknowledging the participants and judges. Additionally, the UET Debating Society organized an Alumni Reunion and Dinner to connect past and present debaters, fostering a sense of community and continuity within the debating circuit.
