UCP Student Triumphs with Three Bronze Medals in South Asian Karate Championship

Colombo: A student from the University of Central Punjab (UCP), Muhammad Husnain Jamil, has emerged as a standout performer at the 9th South Asian Cadet, Junior, U-21 & Senior Karate Championship 2025, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Representing Pakistan, Jamil secured three bronze medals across multiple categories.

Jamil’s achievements came in the Senior Male 75kg Kumite, Team Kata, and Team Kumite categories, showcasing his versatility and skill in the sport. His success at the championship highlights the potential and dedication of Pakistan’s emerging karate athletes.

The event brought together competitors from various South Asian nations, providing a platform for young athletes to display their martial arts prowess. Jamil’s performance serves as a testament to the rigorous training and commitment of the athletes representing Pakistan on an international stage.
