UCP Student Shajar Abbas Crowned Pakistan’s Fastest Man with New National Record

Lahore: Shajar Abbas, a student at the University of Central Punjab, has clinched the title of Pakistan’s Fastest Man, setting a new national record in the process. The event, co-hosted by Superior University and the Pakistan Athletics Federation, featured 50 top athletes from across the nation.

According to University of Central Punjab, Shajar Abbas, who is studying BS Health and Physical Education, has achieved a significant milestone by also becoming the first Pakistani to reach the finals of both the 100m and 200m races in major international competitions. His participation includes events such as the World Athletics Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and World Islamic Games.

Currently holding the National Champion and National Record Holder titles for both the 100m and 200m races, Abbas’ recent accomplishment marks a noteworthy advancement in athletics for Pakistan.
