UCP Hosts Dr. Stefan Poslad for Climate Change Talk on Urban Air Quality Monitoring

Lahore: The University of Central Punjab recently hosted an insightful talk by Dr. Stefan Poslad from Queen Mary University of London, focusing on the development of a low-cost air quality sensor network designed to analyze micro-climate variations in urban settings. The event was organized by the Climate Change Research Council (CCRC) in collaboration with the Learning Innovation Centre.

According to University of Central Punjab, Dr. Poslad discussed his significant contributions to climate change research, particularly in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering at UCP. His lecture covered the technical and practical aspects of deploying low-cost air quality monitoring devices that help study spatial and temporal variations in urban micro-climates.

The audience, comprising CCRC members and faculty from various departments, gained valuable insights into the challenges and outcomes associated with implementing affordable technology solutions in environmental research. Dr. Poslad’s work aims to enhance understanding and management of air quality in public urban areas, reflecting an important stride towards better environmental sustainability practices.
