Turbat University Marks Independence Day with Patriotic Ceremony

TURBAT: The University of Turbat (UoT) hosted a ceremony marking Pakistan’s Independence Day and the historic Marka-e-Haq, attended by academic and administrative leaders, faculty, and staff.

The event commenced with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by tributes to the heroes of the independence movement and martyrs of the Marka-e-Haq. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Gul Hasan highlighted the day’s significance, emphasizing the sacrifices made for freedom and the ongoing duty of every Pakistani to contribute to national progress.

Dr. Hasan paid tribute to the martyrs of Marka-e-Haq, stating that the event demonstrated that wars are won through faith and passion, not just weapons. He praised Pakistan’s armed forces for their courage and success in Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos, launched in response to Indian aggression, as a testament to the country’s military strength and commitment to sovereignty.

The Vice Chancellor reaffirmed UoT’s role in fostering patriotism and producing responsible leaders through quality education. Other speakers echoed the importance of unity, constitutional supremacy, and economic stability, urging citizens to renew their commitment to national development.

The ceremony concluded with a prayer for Pakistan’s safety and prosperity, expressing gratitude for the sacrifices of the armed forces and the university’s dedication to national unity and peace.
