Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the match officials for the forthcoming ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 fixtures and the white-ball series between Pakistan and South Africa. The series is scheduled to take place from October 12 to November 8.
Ranjan Madugalle from Sri Lanka will serve as the match referee for the series, which kicks off with the first Test at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium from October 12 to 16. Australia’s Rodney Tucker, part of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will officiate on the field alongside New Zealand’s Christopher Brown from the ICC Emerging Umpires Group.
Bangladesh’s Saikat Sharfuddoula, also from the ICC Elite Panel, is appointed as the third umpire for the first Test, while Pakistan’s Faisal Khan Afridi will assume the role of the fourth umpire.
The second Test, slated for October 20 to 24 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, will see Christopher Brown and Saikat Sharfuddoula as on-field umpires. Rodney Tucker will take over the duties of the third umpire, with Rashid Riaz serving as the fourth umpire.
The T20I series commences on October 28 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium with Muhammad Asif Yaqoob and Rashid Riaz as on-field umpires. Faisal Khan Afridi will be the third umpire, and Tariq Rasheed will act as the fourth umpire. The same team will officiate the second T20I on October 31 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
For the third T20I on November 1, Rashid Riaz and Faisal Khan Afridi will be on-field, Asif Yaqoob will serve as third umpire, and Tariq Rasheed will continue as fourth umpire.
The ODI series in Faisalabad at Iqbal Stadium will see Saikat Sharfuddoula and Asif Yaqoob officiating the first ODI on November 4. England’s Alex Wharf, from the ICC Elite Panel, will be the third umpire, with Rashid Riaz as the fourth umpire.
The second ODI will mark the first pairing of Alex Wharf and Ahsan Raza as on-field umpires. Saikat Sharfuddoula will be the third umpire, and Rashid Riaz will continue as fourth.
For the concluding ODI, Saikat Sharfuddoula and Faisal Khan Afridi are set to officiate on-field, Alex Wharf will be the third umpire, and Rashid Riaz will act as the fourth umpire.
