Dubai: Cricket enthusiasts now have the opportunity to secure their spots at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, with tickets going on sale for the event scheduled from October 3 to 20 in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament will showcase top international women’s cricket teams in Dubai and Sharjah, offering fans a thrilling series of matches.
According to International Cricket Council, the opening day will feature a double-header at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, starting with Bangladesh versus Scotland, followed by Pakistan against Sri Lanka. Tickets are designed to be affordable, starting at just 5 AED, with premium options available for 40 AED. Fans purchasing tickets for double-header days will enjoy access to both matches on a single ticket.
Kiosks for offline ticket purchases will be set up at both the Dubai International Stadium and the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, details of which will be announced shortly. In a bid to attract younger fans, the ICC is offering free entry to all spectators under the age of 18.
The warm-up matches for the tournament are slated to begin this week, setting the stage for the competitive matches starting in early October. The 10 teams participating are divided into two groups of five, competing in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the final to be held in Dubai on October 20.
