Karachi, The Khansortium Karachi Region Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament witnessed four thrilling matches, showcasing exceptional performances including a century by Tehsin Shahid and a deadly bowling spell by Arif Shah. The tournament, organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi, took place across various cricket grounds in the city, highlighting the depth of cricketing talent in the region.
According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the first match saw Zone-II Greens overcoming Zone-III Greens by 49 runs at the Eastern Star Ground. Zone-II Greens set a formidable total of 311/9 in 45 overs, with significant contributions from Syed Nawab (84 runs), Haseeb Khalid (59 runs), and Munir ur Rehman (55 runs). Tehsin Shahid, Roman Ali, and Bharat Vijay each took three wickets for Zone-III Greens, who were all out for 262 in response, despite a brilliant century from Tehsin Shahid (102 runs).
The second match featured Zone-II Whites defeating Zone-VII Whites by five wickets at the TMC Ground. Zone-VII Whites posted 287 all out, with Huzaifa Munir leading the scorecard. Zone-II Whites chased down the target with five wickets in hand, thanks to outstanding innings from Noor Wali (92 not out) and Mubsir Nawaz (79 runs).
In the third game, Zone-IV Whites easily beat Zone-V Blues by seven wickets at the Pak Star Ground. Zone-V Blues were dismissed for 149, with Naimat Khan and Hamza Qureshi taking a combined seven wickets. Zone-IV Whites reached their target in just 16.3 overs, anchored by Abdullah Raffay’s quickfire 60.
The final match of the day saw Zone-V Reds defeating Zone-III Reds by four wickets at Annu Bhai Park Ground. Zone-III Reds were bowled out for 123, largely due to Arif Shah’s remarkable 6/17 bowling performance. Zone-V Reds achieved the target with six wickets down, led by Chand Ahmed and Jawed Mahmood.
