Lahore, November 03, 2022 (PPI-OT): The Indian baseball team has confirmed to participate in the 15th West Asia Baseball Cup to be held in Islamabad in December 2022. While talking to media Manger, the President Pakistan Federation Baseball Syed Fakhar Ali Shah said that Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) has allotted to host 15th West Asia Baseball Cup in Pakistan. The event will be held from December 20 to 24 in Islamabad.

The Indian Baseball Federation has confirmed to participate in the event. Teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Palestine already confirmed their participation. Nepal and Iran were also invited and hope that they will confirm within a week or two.

According to Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, The SAF Games will be held in Pakistan next. It is very important to hold West Asia Cup event in Pakistan before the SAF Games as India, Nepal and Sri Lanka as member SAF will participate in the event including Pakistan. This event will help to prepare strong Pakistan team for the Asian games.

He said, the Pakistan baseball team has participated in the World Baseball Classic Qualifier in Panama October first week, despite visa issue and rest of team arrived on match day the Pakistan team played the best game and the Pakistani players also impressed the foreign coaches with their good game.

The PFB had organized the team’s camp for the World Baseball Classic Qualifier (WBCQ) under the supervision of Pakistani coach Mr. Nisar Ahmed with the support of army sports directorate and Federation has announced a reward of Rs 100,000 for the coach Nisar Ahmed due to the excellent performance of the Pakistan team in WBCQ, more he said.

Lahore, August 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, President Pakistan Federation Baseball met Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Syed Mehdi Shah. In the meeting, Fakhar Shah gave a briefing to the governor regarding the development of baseball in Gilgit-Baltistan region. Federation’s Treasurer Tahir Mehmood and Legal Advisor Fakhar Amir Kazmi were also present on this occasion.

According to the Secretary General of the Federation, Sheikh Mazhar Ahmed, Fakhar Shah congratulated the governor on his recovery and becoming the governor of Gilgit-Baltistan. In the meeting, he informed the Governor about the Baseball Development in Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to Syed Fakhar Shah, in 2020, Pakistan Federation Baseball has successfully organized baseball exhibition matches between Pakistan Green and Pakistan White in Gilgit and Skardu. He told the governor that now the federation wants to set a World Record for the highest baseball ground in the world by organizing an exhibition baseball match between the Pakistan Green and Pakistan White baseball teams at Deosai Park. By which the name of Gilgit-Baltistan will be brighten in all over the world. This event will also help a lot in the development and promotion of baseball in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Lahore, August 16, 2022 (PPI-OT): Asia Cup Baseball5 2022 will start today from August 17 in Kuala Lumpur. On the opening day, Pakistan will compete against strong rivals like Singapore and Taiwan one after the other. Team Manager Pakistan Syed Fakhar Ali Shah and officials from other countries participated in the pre-event course. Information was provided by Valerio Cianfoni.

While talking with media, Sh. Mazhar Ahmad Secretary General Pakistan Federation Baseball said that Asia Cup Baseball5 Tournament 2022 will start today from August 17 in Kuala Lumpur. Teams from Singapore, Taiwan, China, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Philippine and Malaysia are also participating in the event. Pakistan will face strong rivals like Singapore and Taiwan on the opening day. In the event, Pakistan has been placed in Group C along with China, Singapore and Taiwan.

According to Sh. Mazhar Ahmad, before the event, a seminar and a two-day baseball 5 coaching course was organized in which team officials from all countries participated. In the course, Valerio Cianfoni of the Commission provided basic information. Team Manager Pakistan Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, Syed Fakhar Amir Kazmi and officials of other countries successfully completed this pre-event course and received certificates.

Lahore, August 15, 2022 (PPI-OT): Sh. Mazhar Ahmad Secretary General PFB while talking with media said that Pakistan Baseball5 Team has departed for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to participate in 1st Asia Cup Baseball5 Tournament 2022. After the Pakistan Independence Day celebrations organized by Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB), the team left for Kuala Lumpur. The team was sent off by Federation’s Executive Director Syed Manzar Shah along with Head Coach Mussadiq Hanif, Federation’s Member at Large Tariq Nadeem and other officials from Lahore Airport.

 

Sh. Mazhar said that before departure, Federation’s President and Team Manager Syed Fakhar Ali Shah congratulated the nation on Independence Day. While congratulating Pakistan, he said that we are going with full preparation and are hopeful to give a good performance.

 

According to Sh. Mazhar Ahmad, as per regulations of Baseball5, Pakistan Baseball5 Team consists of four male players (Syed Muhammad Shah, Muhammad Ali, Hafiz Ghulam Nabi and Ahsan Ameer Kazmi) and four female players (Sidra Riasat, Gulnaz Intzar, Aneela Kanwal and Isma Riaz) along with Team Manager (Syed Fakhar Ali Shah) and 2 Officials (Fakhar Amir Kazmi and Muhammad Yaseen).

 

He added that officials from all participating countries including Pakistan attended the pre-event Baseball5 seminar from August 15 – 16, 2022. The event will be held in Kuala Lumpur from 17th to 19th August.

Lahore, August 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Federation Baseball organized a grand ceremony of Independence Day of Pakistan. Federation’s President Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, who is also the Vice President of Baseball Federation of Asia, celebrated the Independence Day of Pakistan as he inaugurated the event and cut the cake. He along with PFB Executive Director Syed Manzar Shah, Head Coach Mail Mossadeq Hanif, Head Coach Female Tariq Nadeem, Legal Advisor Syed Fakhar Ameer Kazmi, Muhammad Yadin, Shahid Raza, Aamir Bhatti and other officials, who specially participated in the event, congratulated the nation with slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.

According to Media Manager Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh, kits and Pakistan colours were distributed to the players and officials of the Pakistan team participating in the “Baseball 5 Asia Cup” which is being held for the first time in Asia. The team later left for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia under the leadership of manager Syed Fakhar Ali Shah. As the event is being held for the first time, all the officials will also attend mandatory Baseball5 coaching course on August 15 and 16. The event will be held from August 17 to 19 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
