Women’s Day Walkathon – WUJOOD E ZAN

Faisalabad, April 12, 2023 (PPI-OT): Wings Society organized an event on International Women’s Day themed “WUJOOD E ZAN” which took place for two days from March 8th and 9th, 2023. This is an event to honour women, celebrate their existence, and commemorate the lives of the most powerful ones. Students from NTU commenced the walkathon to raise awareness about the importance of women’s empowerment in the country.

The registrar NTU, Mr. Salman Saif also joined and graced the walk. Students made slogans and charts to celebrate International Women’s Day because all women are valued and have rights.

Prize Ceremony – Sustainability Week ’23

Faisalabad, April 11, 2023 (PPI-OT):The current society is living on the costs of future generations. Problems such as environmental pollution and climate change are becoming visible and their impact on our lives increases. A major raise in awareness of young people to a more sustainable lifestyle can be done during higher education. This is where the concept of a sustainability week comes into action. The week comprised several different engagement activities, tasks, competitions, and seminars. The award ceremony of sustainability week was organized by NTU SSDG. All the presidents were awarded souvenirs for their support and contribution to arranging activities. The winners were awarded shields and certificates.

The organizer was Society for Sustainable Development Goals NTU FSD: President- Anum Mansoor and the collaborating students’ societies as follows:

NAB Anti-Corruption Week- Prize Distribution Ceremony

Faisalabad, April 11, 2023 (PPI-OT):NTU’s Character Building Society celebrated NAB Anti-Corruption Week in collaboration with various student societies at NTU from January 10th to 12th, 2023. The prize and certificate distribution ceremony was arranged for winners and participants on March 3, 2023. President Hafeez Tahir and other members of CBS were also acknowledged for their dedicated work.

Speak up and Raise Voice- HEC Anti-Harassment Policy Awareness Activity

Faisalabad, April 11, 2023 (PPI-OT):The HEC affirms the right of every member of the HEI community to live, study and work in an environment that is free from harassment. NTU Wings encouraged HEC’s objective and organized a poster competition in this regard on February 20, 2023. The activity raised awareness and highlighted the issue of harassment in our society.

Students submitted their artwork in the form of posters, essays, poems, and paintings to express their points of view against harassment. Faiza Amjad (21-NTU-DD-1436) was the winner and Mubashara Batool was the runners-up. Certificates of participation were awarded to all the participants.

Campus Recruitment Drive for Trainee Engineer Program Arranged by SPE

Faisalabad, March 31, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Society of Polymer Engineering (Department of Materials) (SPE 22-23) initiated the “Campus Recruitment Drive for Trainee Engineer Program 2023”. The students of batch 2021-22 and graduates attended the session. This drive was partnered with Servis Industries Limited.

The guests were Mr. Hamza Khan (lead Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding), Mr. Ahmed Muaaz (Assistant Manager HR), Mr. Noman Iftikhar (Assistant Manager Product Development), Mr. Muhammad Sarfraz (Manager TA Servis Tyres), Mr. Tahir Zulfiqar (Manager Production) and Mr. Jabran Ahmad (Manager Technical). The objectives were recruitments, business and branding, talent hunt for trainee engineer.

Self-Defense is Protection- A Training by WINGS Society

Faisalabad, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): WINGS Society arranged a Self Defense training session on Monday, February 20, 2023. Ms. Ayesha Arshad was the trainer and has 15 years of experience in self-defense training. She is Gold Medallist and was invited to guide students about Self Defense at National Textile University, Faisalabad.

Moreover, she is a Black belt holder in martial art taekwondo. She is a gold medallist in the Taekwondo championship 2011, the 71st Punjab games 2011, and inter the/Distt. games 2010.Silver medallist in chief minister cup 2012. She shed the light on the importance of being mentally and physically strong to bring a sense of confidence in life. Students learned amazing techniques of self-defense moves with complete instructions – to help them feel empowered to defend themselves in any situation.
