Islamabad, June 23, 2021 (PPI-OT):Nong Rong, Ambassador of China Tuesday visited Faisal Masjid where he was received by Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General Dawah Academy of International Islamic University (IIUI). The Chinese Ambassador took keen interest in various parts of Mosque as he was briefed about it in detail. Nong Rong was also briefed about International Islamic University, its academics programs, international linkages and particularly its outreach programs by Dr. Muhammad Ilyas.

In meeting with Director General Dawah Academy and IIUI officials in the hall of the Mosque, the Chinese Ambassador thanked for a warm welcome at Mosque. He said every citizen of China has immense love for Pakistan. He added that the friendship is exemplary and historic. He said he is feeling pleasure to visit the grand Mosque which he said indeed is a symbol and recognition of Pakistan. The Ambassador said that we must transfer this love and friendship to Youth so that the bilateral exemplary brethren ties may expand and get strengthened in the future.

Dr. Muhammad Ilyas said on the occasion that the visit of the Chinese Ambassador and his meeting with the Hufaaz is a matter of pleasure for us. He said that Dawah Academy is disseminating message of Islam that is peace, harmony and peaceful coexistence. He also told about the Islamic books translated into Chinese. He said publications of Dawah Academy are hailed across the world as the Academy is focused on dissemination of Islam, trainings for introduction to the real essence of Islam and promotion of Quranic teachings. He also told that more than 700 Chinese students are studying at IIUI. The visit concluded with the verses of Holy Quran those were recited by Dr. Muhammad Ilyas.

Islamabad, June 19, 2021 (PPI-OT):H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President, International Islamic University (IIU) chaired a meeting of the Core Committee of Directorate of Distance Education at Faisal Masjid Campus. The meeting was also attended by Vice President AF and P Dr. N. B. Jumani, Deans of the faculties, DG IIIE, Officials of Directorate of Distance Education, Officials of IT department and other relevant members of the committee.

In the meeting, working and future plan of the offering of online certificate / Diploma courses through the Directorate of Distance Education were discussed. IIUI President further advised the Deans to motivate their relevant Departments for submission of certificate and Diploma courses and then start preparation to launch degree programs for future. On the occasion, worthy President desired that all the faculties should prepare strategic plan for next five years. During the meeting, issues of the fee and examination were discussed and it was recommended that fee collection must be ensured.

The IT officials apprised the Chair about E-campus management system. The Chair said that paper less working in university is top priority and desired that given tasks be expedited to shift to this mode. The IT officials also briefed about the beta version of the website and informed that it is in the wind up stage. Dr. Hathal emphasized that it is necessary to catch more clientele in competition to other national and international universities. He advised to carefully assess the quality and market demands of the courses to be offered.

Islamabad, June 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):A meeting under the chairmanship of H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President of the university was held here at new campus to review the preparations for the admission campaign. The meeting was also attended by Vice President (Academics) Professor. Dr. Ayaz Afar, Vice President (AF and P) Professor. Dr. N.B. Jumani , Vice-president HS and R Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences Dr. Abdul Rehman, Director QAD, Dr. Rehmat Elahi, Director Academics Muhammad Yaqoob Awan and Incharge Protocol and PR Nasir Farid.

On the occasion, Dr. Hathal said that provision of best facilities at IIUI is top priority. He said that the university shall be among leading educational institutions of world. He urged that academic excellence must be one of the leading goals to achieve the target of success. The IIUI President was briefed about offered degree programs, schedule of tests, eligibility criteria, steps taken in the light of previous semester’s response. He was also briefed about detailed campaign such as media plan, final advertisement and content for social media campaign as well.
