Super Six Fixtures Confirmed for ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup

Harare: The Super Six fixtures for the ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup have been finalized, as 12 teams advance from the opening group stage. The next phase of the tournament, set to begin on Sunday, features reigning champions Australia, former winners South Africa and West Indies, and Ireland in Group 1, competing alongside Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

According to International Cricket Council, Group 2 comprises India, England, Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Zimbabwe. Teams carry forward points and net run rates earned against fellow Super Six teams from the initial group stage, with India and England leading Group 2 with four points each. Similarly, Australia and Afghanistan top Group 1 with four points.

All participating teams will play two additional matches in the Super Six phase, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. Key matches include Afghanistan versus Sri Lanka in Windhoek on January 26, and India versus Pakistan on February 1, potentially determining the last semi-final spot.

The semi-finals are scheduled for February 3 in Bulawayo and February 4 in Harare, with the final to be held in Harare on February 6.
