Stanford University Ranks 43 Punjab University Professors Among Top 2% Global Researchers

Lahore: Punjab University has achieved a significant milestone as 17 additional faculty members have been included in the latest ranking of the top 2% of researchers worldwide, bringing the total number of recognized professors to 43. This recognition comes from the seventh edition of a global researcher ranking by Stanford University, California.

According to University of the Punjab, the rankings were compiled by Professor John Ioannidis and his team at Stanford, encompassing the top 100,000 scientists across various disciplines and institutions worldwide. Among those recognized are Punjab University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood, and faculty from diverse fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Environmental Sciences, and Chemical Physics.

The inclusion of these professors highlights their contributions to their respective fields and underscores the university’s growing academic reputation.
