KARACHI: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi's School of Visual & Performing Arts (SOVAPA) concluded its sixth Alumni Series theatre production, The Odd Couple, to a packed audience, garnering significant appreciation. The Urdu adaptation of Neil Simon's renowned comedy was presented by Babar Jamal and directed by Arbaz Sheikh, with the three-day run from July 31 to August 2 at Studio II, Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, receiving enthusiastic applause for its engaging storytelling and performances.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the production entertained audiences with its witty dialogue and remarkable performances, bringing to life the humorous journey of two divorced friends navigating their contrasting personalities and lifestyles. The cast, featuring Usama Ranjha, Asad Gojar, Sara Taqi, Nafees Qamar, Muhammad Raza, Hamza Ranjha, and Adil Shakir, delivered memorable performances, drawing loud applause from the full-house audience. The successful staging of The Odd Couple bolstered SOVAPA's Alumni Series, highlighting the Arts Council's commitment to quality theatre and support for emerging and alumni artists.
