SMUTA’s New Cabinet Sworn In at Sindh Madressatul Islam University

KARACHI: The newly elected cabinet of the Sindh Madressatul Islam University Teachers Association (SMUTA) took oath at a ceremony held at the Senate Hall of Sindh Madressatul Islam University. The event marked the commencement of a new term for the cabinet, which was elected unopposed.

According to Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Wafa Mansoor, the newly elected SMUTA President, emphasized the cabinet's commitment to upholding teachers' legitimate rights and maintaining their professional dignity. Mansoor articulated the association's intentions to continue advocating for teachers' rights and benefits, while fostering a respectful and supportive professional environment.

Mansoor highlighted the new cabinet's plan to address teachers' issues through mutual consultation and collective efforts, grounded in democratic principles. She also mentioned the intention to build upon the efforts of their predecessors to strengthen the association further.

SMUTA Press Secretary Khalid Hassan acknowledged the contributions of former President Asif Hussain Samoo and former Vice President Qurat-ul-Ain Nazeer. Hassan commended their efforts in establishing the association and advancing the interests of teachers.

The new cabinet includes Wafa Mansoor as president, Azeem Inam as vice president, Dr Inayatullah Magsi as general secretary, Wajiha Naeem as joint secretary, Muzaffar Shah as finance secretary, and Khalid Hassan as press secretary. The oath-taking ceremony was seen as a reaffirmation of the commitment to teachers' welfare and institutional harmony.
