Sindh Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah Reaffirms PPP’s Support for Media Worker Rights at Karachi Meeting


Karachi: At a meeting of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Workers’ Federal Executive Council, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh’s Minister for Energy, emphasized the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s dedication to the welfare of media workers. The event, held in Karachi, saw Shah reiterating PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s commitment to ensuring timely salaries for media personnel, highlighting the party’s strategy to strengthen the nation through a robust media workforce.



According to Chief Minister Sindh, the gathering included significant figures from the journalism sector such as Dr. Saadia Kamal, Vice President of PFUJ Workers, and other leaders from Karachi and Rawalpindi-Islamabad journalism unions. Shah underscored the critical role of unions in protecting media rights and assured ongoing support from the PPP.



The meeting also addressed internal challenges within the PFUJ, with veteran journalist Mazhar Abbas calling for unity and strength among media workers to enhance the industry and support political processes. The exchange of traditional Sindhi Ajraks between Shah and union leaders symbolized the solidarity and mutual respect essential for advancing journalists’ rights in Pakistan.
