Sindh Madressatul Islam University Commemorates Marka-e-Haq Anniversary with Campus Rally

Karachi: Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) held a rally inside the university to mark the first anniversary of the Marka-e-Haq on Thursday, led by Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai. The rally was attended by the university deans, Dr. Jamshed Adil Halepoto; Dr. Abdul Hafeez Khan; Dr. Stephen John; chairpersons of various academic departments; heads of administrative departments; faculty; officers; and students in a large number.

According to Sindh Madressatul Islam University, the rally started from the main building of the university and ended near the IT Tower of SMIU, where Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai addressed the participants. He recounted the events of May last year when Pakistan’s Armed Forces engaged in a conflict with India, highlighting their success and the impact on Pakistan’s global reputation.

Dr. Sahrai emphasized that India aimed to win through aggression, but Pakistan’s adherence to international laws led to its success. He noted the recognition from countries such as the United States, China, and the European Union, supporting Pakistan’s actions.

The vice chancellor congratulated the Pakistan Armed Forces and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed on the anniversary, recognizing their efforts during the conflict. He reiterated Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s stance on peace, criticizing India’s aggressive actions and highlighting the global rejection of such behavior.

Dr. Sahrai also commended the role of the Pakistani media in exposing India’s intentions, contrasting it with what he described as the negative role of the Indian media. He urged students to contribute to the nation’s security and development and encouraged faculty to educate and guide the youth towards prosperity.
