Lahore: Shaun Tait, the bowling coach of Pakistan's men's cricket team, has expressed satisfaction with the team's bowling performances in the ongoing ODI tri-series, emphasizing the balance between pace and spin and the team's successful start against Sri Lanka and England. Pakistan secured victories in their first two matches, defeating Sri Lanka by 37 runs and England by 87 runs at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Tait shared his insights in an interview with PCB Digital, stating that the bowling has been commendable against formidable opponents. He highlighted the effective balance between pace and spin, with both departments complementing each other. Tait also reflected on his previous tenure with the team, noting the continuity in the fast-bowling group, which includes Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Faheem Ashraf.

Discussing the role of domestic cricket, Tait emphasized its importance in preparing fast bowlers for international competition. He mentioned that participating in domestic matches before international series helps bowlers build their workload and maintain freshness. Tait credited head coach Mike Hesson for effectively managing the team's workload and ensuring players remain fresh amid the packed cricket schedule.

Looking ahead to the next match against England in Lahore, Tait acknowledged the challenge posed by England's strong batting lineup. He expressed confidence in Pakistan's ability to adapt and perform well against strong opposition, irrespective of the conditions. Tait also highlighted the role of young all-rounder Arafat Minhas, who has been instrumental in recent matches and praised his contributions with both bat and ball.

The Pakistani squad, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, includes players like Arafat Minhas, Babar Azam, and Shadab Khan. The tri-series will continue with matches scheduled at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, culminating in the final on October 31.
