Kashgar: Yunchun Yang, Owner and CEO of Serene Air, called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Kashgar today, revealing the airline’s ambitious plans for expanding its operations in Pakistan.
During their discussion, President Zardari underscored the importance of enhancing Serene Air’s fleet size to amplify the airline’s network and connectivity. Dr. Yang, a University of California alumnus with a Ph.D., reassured the President of his dedication to further invest in the airline’s Pakistani operations.
Serene Air holds the distinction of being the first Chinese private investment in Pakistan’s aviation sector. It is also the first private Pakistani airline to establish flight routes to Beijing. Dr. Yang emphasized the airline’s ongoing collaborative initiatives with the Pakistan Air Force, particularly on JF-17 avionics.
The meeting was attended by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, the Pakistani Ambassador to China, and the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, marking a significant diplomatic engagement.
