Haripur: A one-day seminar titled “Creating Inclusive Campuses: A PASTIC Perspective on the Social and Cultural Challenges Faced by Female Students in STEAM” was successfully conducted at The University of Haripur, focusing on the challenges female students encounter in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
According to The University of Haripur, the seminar, organized by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), featured Dr. Ghazala Malik, Additional Director at PASTIC/PSF, as the guest speaker. Dr. Malik underscored the social and cultural barriers confronting female students in STEAM areas and stressed the necessity of fostering inclusive academic settings that promote diversity and equal opportunities.
The event, led by Ms. Bakhtawar Riaz, Assistant Director of ORIC, was marked by active participation from both students and faculty members, who engaged in discussions and shared their perspectives during the question-and-answer session.
