Seminar at Turbat University Highlights Youth Empowerment Through Balochistan RISE Program

Turbat: An awareness seminar focusing on the RISE Balochistan Program was conducted at the University of Turbat, emphasizing youth empowerment, societal peace, and socio-economic development. Organized under the auspices of the Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP) with the backing of the Government of Balochistan, the event was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan and attended by Deputy Commissioner Kech, Yasir Iqbal Dashti, as the Chief Guest.

According to University of Turbat, the seminar saw participation from BRSP RISE Project Regional Manager Altaf Sakhi, faculty members including Dr. Hanif-ur-Rehman, Dr. Abdul Qayyum, Dr. Ghulam Jan, Dr. Mushtaq Badini, and a large number of students. University students presented business ideas that were well-received by the attendees.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan expressed gratitude to the guests and described the seminar as a constructive initiative. He urged the youth to engage with innovative business ideas, reiterating the university’s commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and enhancing students' professional and digital skills.

Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti emphasized the interconnectedness of peace, social harmony, and economic development, noting that sustainable peace is essential for business and development. He outlined the Government of Balochistan's dedication to implementing the RISE Balochistan Program to foster economic opportunities and societal stability.

BRSP RISE Project Regional Manager Altaf Sakhi explained the program's goals, which include empowering youth and promoting community-level peace. Resource persons highlighted the growing entrepreneurial trends among university students and stressed the importance of human resource development and student involvement in decision-making.

The event concluded with the distribution of commemorative shields to guests, speakers, and organizers.
