Regional Youth Parliament on Climate Action to Empower Young Leaders in Asia-Pacific

Islamabad: Applications are now open for the Regional Youth Parliament on Climate Action (RYPCA), aimed at harnessing the dynamic potential of young leaders across the Asia-Pacific region to influence climate policy. This initiative seeks to amplify youth voices in national and regional climate strategy discussions, focusing on areas like National Adaptation Plans and Nationally Determined Contributions.

According to Pak NGOs, the RYPCA will provide a platform for young leaders to engage in policy formulation and implement ambitious climate strategies through peer-to-peer exchanges and collaboration with senior officials. The program includes a mix of virtual and in-person sessions, with costs covered by the organizers, emphasizing capacity building and inclusive governance. This approach aims to address the underrepresentation of youth in climate governance and promote substantial policy contributions from the next generation of environmental leaders.
