Quetta: The Pakistan Cricket Board has unveiled the schedule for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League, starting April 11, 2025. The six-team tournament will kick off with a match between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi. The Quetta Gladiators, a team with a storied history in the league, are gearing up for the season with a renewed focus and leadership.
According to Pakistan Super League, Quetta Gladiators have struggled to match their early success after a strong showing in the first four seasons. With 44 wins out of 92 matches since the league’s inception in 2016, the team has one championship title from 2019. However, they have faced challenges in recent editions, failing to consistently reach the playoffs.
A significant change for the Gladiators this season is the appointment of Saud Shakeel as captain, taking over from Rilee Rossouw, who led the team in 2024. This change marks a new chapter for the team as they aim to improve their performance in the upcoming tournament.
The Quetta Gladiators’ fixtures for PSL 10 include matches across various venues, starting with their first game against Peshawar Zalmi on April 12, 2025, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. They will face a variety of opponents, including Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, and Islamabad United, with matches scheduled in Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, and Multan.
As the tournament approaches, fans and analysts alike will be watching to see if the Quetta Gladiators can return to their former glory under new leadership in PSL 2025.
