Peshawar: The Hashim Khan Squash Academy hosted the conclusion of the 1st Qamer Zaman All Pakistan Boys and Girls U-15, U-17, and U-19 squash championships on September 9, 2024. The tournament brought to light several promising young players, culminating in intense final matches across various age groups.

According to Pakistan Squash Federation, the Boys U-15 category saw an exciting match where Ahmed Khalil of the Pakistan Air Force defeated Nouman Khan of the Army with scores of 3-11, 11-3, 11-8, and 11-4. The event not only provided a competitive platform for the participants but also highlighted the depth of young talent emerging from across the nation.

This inaugural event, named after squash legend Qamer Zaman, aims to foster young talent and encourage competitive spirit among the youth in Pakistan’s squash circuits. The success of the tournament is seen as a positive step towards reviving interest and participation in squash, a sport in which Pakistan has enjoyed considerable international success in the past.
