Punjab Youth Affairs Hosts Seminar and Calligraphy Contest on International Youth Day

Lahore: The Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department held a seminar titled “Youth a Hope for Rising Pakistan” on International Youth Day, at the SBP E-Library this Monday. The event coincided with various activities designed to engage and inspire the youth, including a significant calligraphy contest marking the 77th Independence Day.

According to Sports Board Punjab, the seminar attracted notable personalities such as Dr. M Kaleem, Yasmeen Akhtar, Rana Nadeem Anjum, and Olympian Tahir Zaman, along with a roster of speakers from diverse professional backgrounds who addressed the young attendees. The speakers emphasized the potential and responsibilities of the youth in national development, urging them to focus on leveraging modern technologies like Artificial Intelligence and to engage in positive activities.

The day also featured a calligraphy contest that saw significant participation from female students across various colleges and universities. Laraib Eman Ali won the contest, receiving a trophy and a cash prize, with Aysha Fatima and Samara Shahid securing the second and third positions, respectively. The winners were honored with cash prizes in a ceremony that underscored the importance of cultural expression among the youth.
