Lahore: The Government of Punjab has increased the financial assistance amounts for artists facing hardships under the Artist Support Fund. The decision was taken during the 21st meeting of the Artist Support Fund Committee, held on October 12, 2024, and chaired by the Minister for Information and Culture.

According to Punjab Arts Council announcement issued on 30 October 2024, the revised assistance ceilings now stand at Rs. 1,000,000 for marriage grants, Rs. 200,000 for medical grants, and Rs. 100,000 for funeral grants. These changes aim to provide greater support for artists in need and will be effective from October 12, 2024.
