Punjab Higher Education Department Announces Faculty Reassignments to Strengthen Academic Positions

Islamabad: The Higher Education Department of Punjab has orchestrated a significant reshuffling of its academic faculty across the province. This move, part of the General Round 2024 e-Transfer (Phase-I), is designed to optimize teaching resources and fill vacant positions at various colleges. The transfers are effective immediately and encompass a variety of disciplines, affecting numerous lecturers who requested these reassignments.

According to Higher Education Department – Government of The Punjab, the transfers involve 190 lecturers and professors across multiple fields such as Chemistry, English, and Physics. Notably, Hafeez Ur Rahman is now assigned as a Lecturer of Computer Science at Government Associate College, Rehmat Abad, Rawalpindi.

Each transferred faculty member is expected to report to their new assignments within seven days, with the directive explicitly stating that no travel allowances or transfer grants will be provided.
