Punjab Agriculture Minister Emphasizes Research During Visit to PU CEMB

Lahore: Punjab Minister for Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani visited the Punjab University Center of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) on Saturday, where he underscored the crucial role of research in enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability, particularly within the cotton sector.

According to University of the Punjab, during his visit, Minister Kirmani expressed the government’s strong commitment to advancing agricultural development through continued investment in research. He highlighted the importance of fostering collaborations to tackle the challenges facing the agricultural sector.

The visit, attended by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, CEMB Director Prof Dr Moazur Rahman, and other faculty members, served as an affirmation of the government’s support for the significant contributions of CEMB in driving forward agricultural research and development in the region.
