LAHORE: Punjab University and Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan have signed a Letter of Intent to enhance cooperation in academic and research activities between the two institutions. The document, signed at a ceremony held at the Punjab University Vice Chancellor's office, aims to promote collaborative research, faculty and student exchanges, and the organization of joint academic events.

According to University of the Punjab, the agreement outlines plans to foster research in areas of mutual interest, facilitate exchanges of faculty, scholars, and researchers, and establish student exchange programs. Additionally, both universities will work on developing articulation pathways for academic degree programs, including joint, dual, and double degree arrangements, pending approval from relevant authorities. The Vice Chancellor of Punjab University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, emphasized the importance of international partnerships for advancing research and innovation. He expressed optimism that the collaboration with Nazarbayev University will provide significant opportunities for faculty, researchers, and students.
