Provincial Advisor Inaugurates Girls’ Common Room at University of Turbat

Turbat: Ms. Meena Majeed, the Provincial Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs, visited the University of Turbat (UoT) to inaugurate a newly constructed Girls' Common Room and inspect various development projects on January 23, 2026. The visit underscored the provincial government's commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure and supporting female students.

According to University of Turbat, Ms. Majeed was welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan and other senior university officials. The inauguration ceremony was attended by key university figures and engineering officials involved in the project's execution. The Girls' Common Room, funded through a special provincial grant, was completed in a record time of one year, as highlighted by XEN Engineer Hamid Baloch.

In addition to the inauguration, Ms. Majeed reviewed ongoing and completed development projects funded by the Provincial Government and the Higher Education Commission. These projects include sports facilities, educational labs, and a gymnasium. She expressed her appreciation for the university's academic achievements and the high enrollment of female students, announcing financial support for the university's upcoming Sports Week and pledging to coordinate with the Chief Minister for essential amenities.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized the need for a Green Bus service to alleviate transportation challenges for students, a proposal that Ms. Majeed supported. She promised to advocate for this initiative with the Chief Minister, reflecting the government's focus on facilitating educational access and promoting women's empowerment.
