Mansehra: Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique delivered a keynote address at the International Conference on “Mental Health & Psychotherapies: Unveiling Gender-Based Stigma” held at Hazara University. In her address, Dr. Rafique focused on the pressing mental health challenges faced by women and marginalized communities in Pakistan, calling for urgent action to address these issues.
According to University of the Punjab, Dr. Rafique highlighted the importance of cross-cultural collaboration in combating the stigma associated with mental health, particularly for vulnerable groups. She stressed that improving mental health services and reducing stigma requires a collective effort from both healthcare professionals and society at large. Her address aimed to foster a more supportive environment for individuals grappling with mental health concerns, setting the stage for meaningful reforms in the region.
