Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari lauded China’s advancements during a dinner held in his honor by Xinjiang’s Vice Governor and Kashgar’s Communist Party Secretary, Mr. Nie Zhuang.
Zardari expressed appreciation for the cordial reception and voiced his admiration for the substantial progress observed in various Chinese municipalities. He conveyed his revitalization from interactions with the Chinese populace, emphasizing their positive influence. The president also commended President Xi Jinping’s leadership in elevating China’s economic status.
In his welcoming address, Mr. Nie Zhuang underscored the enduring relationship between Kashgar and Pakistan. He affirmed Kashgar’s commitment to strengthening collaboration in commerce, cultural interaction, and interpersonal connections with Pakistan.
Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, and the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan were also present at the event.
