Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari expressed his condolences on Thursday over the death of Makhdoom Pir Arif Zaman Qureshi, a former Member of the Provincial Assembly from Khanewal. President Zardari highlighted Qureshi's enduring contributions to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), emphasizing his long-standing loyalty and commitment to the party.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari noted that Qureshi's passing represents a significant loss to the PPP. He acknowledged Qureshi's unwavering dedication to the party, spanning the leadership tenures of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and the current leadership. The president also remarked that Qureshi's efforts in support of the party and his dedication to democratic ideals will be remembered.
