Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Secretary General former Senator Nayyer Hussain Bukhari stated that the "countdown" has not been initiated by the PPP, but has already begun from within the government itself.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Bukhari addressed the media, criticizing the federal government for making statements on the creation of new provinces without consulting the Prime Minister. He emphasized that the Minister for Interior and the Minister for Defence announced their views on new provinces without the Prime Minister's input.

Bukhari clarified that the PPP does not oppose the creation of new provinces if the process follows constitutional procedures. However, he noted that the PPP leadership has not been consulted on the matter. He stated that if consultation occurs, the PPP leadership will discuss it within the Parliamentary Party and the Central Executive Committee.

He further stated that ministers discussing new provinces should first consult the Prime Minister, highlighting the absence of any statement from the Prime Minister on the issue.

Responding to a senior federal minister's remarks that "the system has collapsed," Bukhari suggested that the minister should propose an alternative. He argued that non-implementation of the Constitution does not equate to a collapse of the system.

Regarding the Azad Kashmir elections, the PPP Secretary General alleged significant violations of the election code of conduct. Bukhari accused Rana Sanaullah and Amir Muqam of openly violating the election code and running an election campaign in Azad Kashmir.

He mentioned that as the Secretary General of the PPPP, he has filed a complaint with the Chief Election Commissioner, but no action has been taken so far.
