Karachi, Deputy Secretary Information of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division, Convener District Sharqi Asif Khan, announced plans to restart the development journey of Karachi following the Sindh government’s formation under Bilawal Bhutto’s leadership. His remarks came during interactions in his constituency NA 235, where he visited the Liaison Office, met with Manzoor Solangi, Chairman of Solangi Young Welfare Association, and Saira Sajjad, a polling agent injured during the general elections.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Asif Khan expressed satisfaction with PPP’s nationwide performance in the general elections and highlighted the unexpected outcome in Karachi, where the party faced stiff competition from PTI. He lamented the alleged theft of PPP’s mandate in Karachi, which left even the winners in shock. Khan reassured that the party leadership would decide on the election results in Karachi but emphasized that, regardless of the outcome, the development initiatives in Karachi, including in his constituency, would proceed under Bilawal Bhutto’s guidance. The meetings with community leaders and activists like Saira Sajjad, who showed remarkable courage against election process disruptions, underscore the party’s commitment to its development agenda and to addressing grievances related to the electoral process.
