Play “Chaturaee” Highlights Day 20 of World Culture Festival in Karachi

Karachi: The World Culture Festival Karachi, presented by the Arts Council of Pakistan, showcased the captivating theater play “Chaturaee” on its twentieth day, drawing significant audience engagement at Auditorium I. The event, which spans 38 days, offers a platform for diverse cultural expressions and has been met with notable enthusiasm from attendees.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, “Chaturaee” is a creative endeavor by director and writer Shahnawaz Bhatti. The play features a dynamic cast including Sarfraz Ali, Arshad Shaikh, Kainat Muhammad, Safiya Bhalaisha, Komal Hayat, and Iqra, who collectively brought to life a narrative centered around the themes of intelligence versus cunning. The story revolves around the contrasting lives and eventual confrontation of two women, each navigating their circumstances with either wit or shrewdness.
